George Washington and Abraham Lincoln are two of the most famous U.S. presidents. This project helps students to learn about these presidents while also using objective and subjective techniques to analyze primary source images and to contemplate how presidents are portrayed.
Teacher Project Pack (materials targeted to grades 4-6)
Contains project overview, goals, objectives, guidelines, and directions for project implementation. It also lists the Illinois State Learning Standards fulfilled through project implementation.
Adapt this project for older students by having them locate and analyze primary sources related to how these presidents' were viewed by others during their terms in office.
